My Product Philosophy

The principles that guide how I think about building products

Start with first principles.

Every strong product begins with a clear understanding of the problem. I prioritize uncovering root user pain points, business constraints, and behavioral patterns before defining solutions. Deep research and rigorous data analysis create conviction and clarity.

Obsess over the customer.

The customer is the ultimate source of truth. I focus on understanding not just what users say, but how they behave and why they act the way they do. Great products solve real problems, reduce friction, and create tangible value in customers' lives. If it does not meaningfully improve the customer experience, it should be questioned.

Use data as a compass, not a crutch.

Metrics guide direction, but they do not replace judgment. I rely heavily on experimentation and analytics, while recognizing that some of the most meaningful innovations require informed conviction. Vision and data should reinforce each other.

Bias toward action.

Speed creates learning. I believe in shipping focused MVPs, measuring real user behavior, and iterating rapidly. Momentum compounds. Products improve through cycles of build, learn, refine.

Build leverage through teams.

Product leadership is about alignment and empowerment. I create clarity around outcomes, ensure teams understand the "why," and remove obstacles so designers and engineers can operate at their highest level. Strong teams build enduring products.
